Information for Individuals with Disabilities

Deaf and Hard of Hearing

Sign language interpreters will be provided at the Inaugural Ceremony. If you wish to be seated near an interpreter at the ceremony, please contact the Office of Disability Support Services at dss@gwu.edu before Monday, November 5, 2007, to make arrangements for special seating. Sign language interpreters will be provided at other Inaugural Week events on an as-needed basis by completing a Special Events Interpreter Request Form, which also must be submitted by November 5.

Handicapped Accessible Seating at the Charles E. Smith Center

Wheelchair-accessible seating is reserved for individuals with severe mobility problems or who use a wheelchair. One guest from the individual’s party may join him/her in this section. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping appropriate areas available for those with serious mobility concerns. Ushers will be available to assist with seating.
