A Message from W. Russell Ramsey, Chairman of
The George Washington University Board of Trustees
On behalf of The George Washington University Board of Trustees, it is my honor and pleasure to invite members and friends of the GW community to celebrate the inauguration of Dr. Steven Knapp, a distinguished scholar, administrator, and community leader, as our 16th president.
To welcome Dr. Knapp and both celebrate our history and share our vision, we invite you to participate in a series of events and activities in Washington, D.C., Nov. 13-17, 2007.
To the right you will find an itinerary of events that will take place during Inaugural Week, highlighting the University’s many contributions and academic accomplishments throughout our 186-year history. Highlights include three theme days during which students, faculty, administrators, alumni, and partners will participate in seminars, symposia, and performances. The culminating event, the formal inauguration of Dr. Steven Knapp as GW’s 16th president, will take place on Friday, Nov. 16.
We hope you will be able to join us for this most important week in the history of The George Washington University. We also invite you to visit this Web site for additions and updates to the schedule.
On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I hope you will be able to join us for Inaugural Week. And I look forward, with great confidence, to the future of our University.
Sincerely,
W. Russell Ramsey (BBA ’81)
